Financial Services Council (FSC) Event Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all participants (“Attendees”) who register for and/or attend any events (“Event”) hosted by the Financial Services Council (“Organiser”)

1. Registration and Payment

1.1. All attendees must register in advance via the official event registration platform
1.2. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received in full (where applicable)
1.3. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse registration or entry to any person in its absolute discretion without providing a reason

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

2.2. Cancellations received:

• More than 14 days before the event: 100% refund
• Between 14 - 7 days before the event: 50% refund
• Less than 7 days before the event or non-attendance: No refund

2.3. Substitutions are permitted up to 24 hours before the event with prior written notice

3. Changes to the Event

3.1. The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the event’s agenda, speakers, venue, format (e.g. moving to virtual), or timing at any time. Details of any changes will be published on the Event website, email communications and/or social media
3.2. Should there be a requirement to postpone an Event, registration fees paid will be carried across to rescheduled Event dates
3.3. In the unlikely event of cancellation, the Organiser will offer a full refund but is not responsible for any costs incurred by Attendees (e.g. travel or accommodation)

4. Dietary Requirements

4.1. While the Organiser will make every reasonable effort to accommodate any dietary requirements arising from a substitution with less than 5 working days’ notice, it may not always be possible due to venue requirements and catering policies and there may be additional charges. Menus are subject to change.
4.2. The Organiser makes best endeavours to cater for dietary requirements. You must notify us of any dietary requirements by notifying us in writing not less than 5 working days in advance of the Event.
4.3. The Organiser does not assume responsibility for any adverse reactions to food or drink consumed or items that the Attendee may come into contact with while attending a FSC event

5. Code of Conduct

5.1. All Attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully toward speakers, staff, sponsors, and fellow participants
5.2. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund and attendees may be charged for any damage caused

6. Photography and Media

6.1. The event may be recorded, and photography may be taken for promotional and archival purposes
6.2. By attending the event, you consent to the use of your image, likeness, and voice in promotional materials

7. Data and Privacy

7.1. Attendees may have their name and contact details included on the attendee list which may be distributed to other delegates and/or sponsors in relation to the specific event. If an attendee(s) does not wish to be listed in the attendee list, the attendee must note this in their registration
7.2. Personal information collected during registration will be used to facilitate your participation in the event and may be shared with event partners or sponsors where applicable, in line with our [Privacy Policy]
7.3. Attendees may opt out of sponsor communications at any time.

8. Work, Health and Safety (WHS)

8.1. Attendees must comply with all venue and public health requirements in place at the time of the event.
8.2. If you are unwell or have symptoms of a contagious illness, please do not attend the event in person.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. The Organiser will not be liable for any loss, liability, injury, damage, claims, or expense incurred by Attendees to their persons or property during or as a result of the event
9.2. Attendance is solely at your own risk
