The FSC Secretariat is led by Chief Executive Officer, Sally Loane, who is ably supported by subject matter experts across policy, legislation, regulation, events, membership, finance, and operations. Our Board is made up of CEOs running wealth management businesses across Australia.

Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TAL Group

Brett Clark joined the FSC Board as a Director on 1 December 2015 and co-chairs the Life Board Committee. Brett is the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the TAL Group and prior to that was responsible for running several of TALs businesses - TAL Life Australia and TAL Retail Life. Brett holds a number of directorships in addition to his FSC role, including TAL Dai-ichi Life Australia Pty Limited and TAL Life Limited. Over his career of more than 20 years, Brett has deep financial services experience across life insurance, wealth management and consulting. Before joining TAL, Brett held senior positions with American International Assurance (AIA) Australia and Watson Wyatt. Brett holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne; is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia; and is a graduate of the INSEAD Advanced Management Program.

Chief Executive Officer, Zurich Australia and New Zealand

Justin Delaney is the Chief Executive Officer, Zurich Australia and New Zealand Justin has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Justin is the CEO, Zurich Australia and New Zealand, which is a leading Australian retail life insurer.  Justin formerly held the position of Chief Operating Officer at TAL Life. Other previous industry experience includes senior roles within Macquarie Group, including Executive Director, Head of Wealth Management, Products & Platform.  Justin's qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Macquarie University), Graduate Diploma in Management, Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and he is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Chief Executive Officer for AllianceBernstein (AB) Australia

Jen Driscoll is Deputy Chairman of the Financial Services Council (FSC) Jen Driscoll was appointed CEO of AllianceBernstein Australia Ltd in December 2013 and is responsible for the execution of strategic priorities for the local business and compliance with governance and corporate policies. Jen joined AB in New York in 1997, servicing large institutional clients in the Northeast region of the US. In January 2000, she relocated to London for three years to open the firm’s London office, where she was responsible for developing and managing the Client and Consultant Relations team. Jen then joined the Sydney office in July 2004 as manager of Client Relations.  Jen is a Deputy Chairman of the Financial Services Council (FSC), is the Chair of the FSC's Standards Oversight Disciplinary Board Committee, is a member of the Administration & Risk Board Committee and is a member of the Nominations Board Committee. Jen also holds a BA, with honors, in economics and political science from Fordham University.

Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, First Sentier Investors

Liz Hastilow joined First Sentier Investors in 2017 as Global Chief Legal and Risk Officer, was appointed Managing Director Australia and New Zealand in 2000, is a member of the global executive committee and is a director on a number of the First Sentier Investors subsidiary boards. Prior to First Sentier Investors, Liz was a Co-Practice Area Leader and Partner at global law firm K&L Gates. In that role Liz advised and co-led a global team of investment management partners and lawyers. Before joining K&L Gates, Liz spent 18 years at Henry Davis York, 14 years as a partner and funds management / financial services group leader. Liz is a Director of the Financial Services Council (FSC) and is a Co-Chair of the FSC's Fund Management Board Committee.  Liz holds a BEc, LLB, LLM (University of Sydney), FGIA, and MAICD. 

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Challenger Limited

 Richard was appointed to the FSC Board in November 2020. Richard was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Challenger Limited in January 2019.   During his career of more than 25 years within the financial services industry, Richard held senior roles at Challenger including Chief Executive of Distribution, Product and Marketing, Chief Executive of Challenger’s Life business and Chief Investment Officer.   Prior to joining Challenger, Richard held senior roles at Zurich Capital Markets, Macquarie and Bankers Trust.  

Head of Australasia, BlackRock Investment Management Australia Ltd

Andrew Landman, CPA, Managing Director, serves as Chief Executive & Head of Australasia and responsible for all facets of the BlackRock business within Australasia. Prior to assuming his current role, Andrew was Head of Client Business for the Asia-Pacific Region, responsible for both distribution and management of the Retail and Institutional relationships in Asia and Head of Institutional and BlackRock Alternative Specialists Group for APAC following a period of being Head of Client Businesses in Australia. Prior to joining BlackRock, Andrew was Chief Executive Officer of Ascalon Capital Managers, a subsidiary of BT Financial Group. Ascalon takes equity stakes in, and is an active business partner of, some of Asia Pacific's leading boutique asset managers. Under Andrew's leadership, Ascalon successfully built a portfolio of nine single strategy hedge and high conviction funds across Australia and Asia Pacific with $4.2 billion in assets under management. In addition to the role at Ascalon, Andrew was Head of Investment Strategy at BT Financial Group. Prior to Ascalon, Andrew was the Chief Financial Officer of Challenger Funds Management. He started his career at Bankers Trust where he worked extensively across the operations side of funds management. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Newcastle. He studied leadership at the University of Chicago in 2003. //

Chief Executive Officer & Director, AIA Australia Limited

Damien Mu is an FSC Director and Chief Executive Officer & Director of AIA Australia and Co-chairs the Life Insurance Board Committee. Damien Mu has more than 18 years’ experience in the Australian financial services industry, with management experience spanning operations, claims and underwriting, superannuation, investments, distribution, product, pricing and marketing. Damien’s career at AIA Australia began in April 2007. Over that time he has held various roles, including Head of Group Insurance, Chief Distribution and Marketing Officer and General Manager - Life Insurance. On 1 August 2014, Damien was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer. In 2014 the company launched AIA Vitality a world leading health and wellness program to the Australian market and in July 2016, AIA New Zealand was added to his responsibilities. In July 2017 the organisation launched myOwn health, a new health insurance business. Damien is a director of AIA Australia, AIA Financial Services Limited, and is also a director of several AIA businesses including AIA Australia Ltd, AIAV Pty Ltd, AIA Health Insurance Pty Ltd, AIA New Zealand Limited and MO Support Pty Ltd. Additionally Damien is a director of the Financial Services Council (FSC), Co-Chair of the FSC Life Board Committee and Advisory Board member of the Shared Value Project. In June 2017, Damien was appointed a Board Member of MO Health Pty Ltd.

General Manager – Wealth, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank

Paul is General Manager – Wealth, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.  Paul is a financial services professional with experience exceeding thirty years. Paul’s career commenced in a superannuation operational role. He then worked 15 years in management and IT consultancy roles with a focus on strategy, process improvement, project/program management and systems integration covering life, superannuation / pension and investments. During this time Paul worked across multiple geographies including Australia, New Zealand, China, Indonesia, Korea, Japan and Thailand. Following this, Paul held senior management roles with IOOF and TAL in Melbourne. Paul joined Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in 2011 taking up the CEO of Sandhurst Trustees role which involved moving to Bendigo. His current role is General Manager – Wealth. This role covers the Group’s Superannuation, Funds Management, Margin Lending, Share Trading, Financial Advice, Insurance (Life and General), Custody and Trustee Services activities. Paul is a member of the FSC Standards Oversight & Disciplinary Board Committee. Paul holds a BSc, DipSM, MBA and is a GAICD.

Managing Director - BT Platforms, Investments & Operations

Kathy is the Managing Director of BT Platforms, Investments & Operations. Kathy Vincent is BT’s Managing Director for Platforms, Investments & Operations. In this role Kathy is responsible for leading BT’s retail platforms (BT Panorama, BT Wrap and Asgard) as well as BT’s investments & operations businesses. Prior to joining BT in July 2018, Kathy was General Manager, Wealth Products and Platforms at NAB where she was responsible for the leadership and management of the retail super and investments platform, as well as NAB’s Asset Management Product Team. Previous roles include Co-Head of Macquarie’s alternatives business and Head of Product Strategy for Macquarie Group’s Global Investments business. Kathy has 25 years’ experience in financial services with specialist expertise in retail platforms, product strategy and distribution. Kathy has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. Kathy is a Co-Chair of the FSC Advice Board Committee.

Executive Director, Head of Wealth Management, Macquarie Banking and Financial Services Group

Sean was appointed to the FSC Board in May 2021.  Sean has over 20 years’ experience across financial advice, investment management, life insurance, superannuation and wealth platforms. Sean leads Macquarie’s wealth management division. Prior to Macquarie, Sean held a range of senior executive roles in financial services across Australia and Asia. He is also a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair of the Black Dog Institute, a translational research institute that aims to reduce the incidence of mental illness and the stigma around it, to actively reduce suicide rates and empower everyone to live the most mentally healthy life possible. He has been appointed as a Strategy Council member of Heads Over Heels, which promotes gender equality in Australian business. Sean is a Co-Chair of the FSC Advice Board Committee.
