The FSC supports policy settings that:
- Encourage saving, investment and business growth to support job creation and economic prosperity,
- Provide effective incentives for Australians to build wealth, save for retirement and participate productively in the economy,
- Strengthen Australia’s position as a global financial services centre and support the export of financial services internationally,
- Promote an efficient, equitable and non-distortionary tax framework with lower compliance costs and appropriate regulatory enforcement, and
- Support sustainable government revenue streams, sound public finances and balanced federal financial relations
- Promote regulatory simplification and harmonisation to reduce complexity and improve efficiency,
- Enhance productivity across the financial services sector by enabling innovation and reducing friction in regulatory and operational processes.
