On 1 March 2012 the Financial Services Council (FSC) welcomed the Trustee Corporations Association members as Full Members of the FSC under the Trustee Services policy area. Eight Private Licensed Trustee Companies and eight Public Trustees are representing Trustees at the FSC. 

The Trustee Corporations Association was formed in 1947 and has served as the peak representative body for the trustee corporations industry in Australia. Its main objectives have been to:

• Represent and advance the interests of member statutory trustee corporations with government, regulators and the wider public.
• Serve as a forum for discussion on matters of mutual interest to members.
• Ensure that an adequate training program in the Personal Trust field is available to members. 
• Provide centralised services for members, including maintenance of industry data.

The Trustee Services Policy area will continue to be represented by industry leaders under a Trustee Services Board Committee. Under that Board Committee there are (currently) five working groups:

• Estate Planning & Management
• Education
• Taxation
• Regulatory Policy
• Corporate Trusts

Our Trustee Services Members will continue to represent Australia's trustee corporations industry and comprise all of the Public Trustees and most of the private trustee companies.

Statutory trustee corporations have been prudently managing Australians' financial and personal affairs since the late 1800s.

Today, our Trustee Services Members provide a comprehensive range of services to millions of individual, family, and corporate clients, involving over $500 billion of assets.
