The Financial Services Council is committed to protecting the privacy of members and non-members and ensuring the security of personal information maintained within the organisation. Information we collect

For the purpose of carrying out services, many employees of the Financial Services Council member companies provide us with their name, work address, work phone and fax numbers, work email address and information about areas of interest. In addition, employees of non-member companies may provide their name, work address, work phone and fax numbers, work email address and information about areas of interest.

We receive information from browsers when you visit our website, such as your server address, domain name, date and time of your visit, the pages visited, and selected information for statistical purposes only.

Use of information

The Financial Services Council does not sell, distribute or otherwise give any other organisation access to the personal information provided either as part of the membership registration or by any individual. The Financial Services Council may use the information supplied in order to make contact with employees of member and non-member companies in the future, but only in reference to the business activities of the Financial Services Council.

If you become a member of a Financial Services Council committee or working group we may share your details with other members of that group for the purposes of facilitating efficient communication within that committee.

No personal information is available on the Financial Services Council public website.

Information on members of committees and working groups may be shown on the members section of the website.

Only employees of full and supporting member companies have access to the member sections of the website.

From time to time, we work with corporate partners and other third party providers to promote and/or market a service that we consider will be of professional benefit to members and non-members.

We may disclose personal information that we collect about members or non-members to these partners or other firms that perform services on our behalf in connection with maintaining or servicing our membership or processing requests for products or services.

Changing or deleting your information

You may view your details or update information in your Profile by logging into the website at www.fsc.org.au. If at any time you wish to be deleted from our records you should contact the Financial Services Council on info@fsc.org.au and we will delete your records from our current database and contact directory.

Discussion databases are open only to members of specific groups within the Financial Services Council membership and cannot be accessed by anyone outside the group. The Financial Services Council does not accept any responsibility or liability for messages posted in the discussion databases. The Financial Services Council reserves the right to edit or delete any messages it believes are not compatible with the aims and vision of the Financial Services Council.
