Ian Ward-Ambler is a Director of the Financial Services Council ("FSC") and Co-Chairs the FSC's Investment Board Committee.

Ian is Managing Director of Goldman Sachs Asset Management Pty Ltd which encompasses Australian equities, international equities, cash, fixed interest, balanced funds and alternative assets.

Ian is a Director of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Pty Ltd Board and is a member of the firm’s Management and Risk Committees.  He is also a Director of the Responsible Entity Goldman Sachs Asset Management Managed Funds Limited and a Director of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Foundation.

Ian joined the firm in 1991 and has experience in institutional sales, investment research and was President of the New York office from 1995 - 2000.  Ian became an equity owner of the firm in 1995.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts from Melbourne University, majoring in Philosophy and Economics.  In addition to his firm responsibilities, Ian serves on the Board of charitable organisation Hands on Learning.
